Cocoon Boards
A modern contemporary design made from machined and hand finished Birch faced void free plywood with rounded corners all round that contour to meet the checkers in the playing field. Unlike most boards the depth of playing field has been reduced to save weight and make these boards ideal for travel. Made with magnetic closure and handle-less for simplicity ideally combined with a shoulder bag. The name Cocoon comes from my first roll-up board design hence the Butterfly logo.

The external ply casing can be finished in a number of ways; Natural Birch waxed, Stained and waxed, burnt wood waxed or can be finished with Acrylic wash as required.
The boards now come with a printed poly-felt playing surface (customisable). Custom surfaces will add around 3 weeks to delivery and cost extra. Alternative playing surfaces are available, Printed Canvas or Leatherette.
The checkers currently being used are acrylic available in a number of limited colours for the 35mm and 40mm designs. The 44mm size has more checker options and is the main difference in cost. Checkers will be available in limited colours from stock. Non stock available to order.
Cups supplied are basic oval faux leather. (Handmade oval leather cups are available at £30 extra per pair, priced separately at £50 per pair).
Note* The 20mm, 27mm and 35mm travel sets are supplied with standard 2 colours of checkers (no cups)
Note** The Table top versions are a flat non-hinged model. If clubs are interested in buying more than 5 at a time with the cheaper checkers and cups, discounts would be available. The Table top version is now made with only one side as checker / cube tray.
